Step 2: Let's Talk It Out
We’ll meet virtually for a chill, honest conversation. I’ll ask about your relationship, what matters most to you, and how you want your wedding film to feel. I’ll also walk you through my approach and answer any questions. This is about connection, not pressure.

Throughout the wedding planning process, both my husband and I were debating whether or not we wanted to have a video to capture our day. After lots of thought, I began to research videographers in our area who were available. 01. HOW SOON SHOULD I HIRE A VIDEOGRAPHER?
Depending on the month that you are getting married in, you should typically hire your videographer about 10-18 months before your wedding date. If you aren’t having a long engagement, your date might still be available. The earlier you can reserve your date, then better chance you’ll be sure to have me be there!

03. CAN WE MEET AND TALK ABOUT MY IDEAS FOR MY WEDDING FILM?
Absolutely! I want to meet with you and get to know you! It helps me, and even makes my job easier when I can sit down and get to know my couples and really listen to how they envision their big day! It’s my job to tell the story, so the more I can learn about you, the better!

04. HOW DO WE PICK OUT A PACKAGE?
I honestly will never sell you anything you don’t need. That is why I have so many 5-star reviews. But, I won’t let the day happen without you knowing fully that you
are getting everything you need. I will help you see what is important, and what isn’t. We typically start everyone with a package that covers the day, gets you a feature film, and makes sure you have everything covered.

05. WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY?
The truth is you only get 1 chance to do it right. If you are dealing with someone that is willing to film all day long, with multiple operators, give you all of the raw footage, DVDs, etc., etc. for $1000, you might want to take a step back and see what is missing. Most of the time they are showing you a 2-3 minute highlight reel with the best of their best shots, and it will rarely include audio from the ceremony or reception. Your wedding video is one of the only items you get to take away with you from your wedding day. You can’t go back and get more footage, or better audio once it happens. Are you going to really trust your uncle to do that for you?

06. DO WE GET TO CHOOSE THE MUSIC?
The vast majority of wedding videographers illegally use music that is not licensed to put into their films. I have access to a music licensing company that I can use to purchase licenses on songs. So with my couples, as I get to know you, I do my best to not be creatively stuck in a box with a specific song. That being said, I are up for suggestions, but in 3 years, haven’t had a single couple ask for a different song than the
